Sales Strategy & Business Development Intern

(remote within North American time-zone, full-time or part-time role)

In the role of Sales Strategy and Business Development Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to grow the reach of Disco Studios offerings with your resourcefulness, curiosity, and initiative. As a member of our growing Business Development Team, you’ll have the opportunity to help drive revenue and growth by helping build a highly impact learner acquisition engine and & secure high visibility partnership opportunities for Disco Studios. You’ll play a key role in identifying, cultivating & growing strategic partnerships for Disco Studios overall, as well as prospecting, nurturing, and enrolling learners and teams for key offerings, including Roger Martin’s Create Your Winning Strategy learning experience, cultural icon Margaret Atwood’s Practical Utopias experience, and future industry leading learning experiences.

In this role, you’ll be a passionate and energized self-starter who brings an entrepreneurial spirit & collaborative approach that will enable growth of our Disco Studios business.

In the role, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Work with our Disco Studios team to drive revenue growth for our premium offerings through strategic partnership opportunities in our pipeline
  • Identify and prospect new learners & partners for key Studios projects, such as Roger Martin’s & Margaret Atwood’s live learning experience, including corporate clients, communities, and individuals
  • Collaborate with Disco team members to manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to nurturing to closing, building out our sales discipline internally
  • Collaborate with Disco team members to support day-to-day operations, planning, and management of Disco Studios offerings
  • Ideate and resourcefully identify learner acquisition strategies and tactics for Disco Studios overall
  • Collaborate with Disco Studios team on partnership strategy and business development deliverables to help secure revenue generation partnerships across multiple verticals
  • Provide general administrative, financial analysis, forecasting, budget maintenance, and support across the Business Development and Sales function within Disco Studios

Who you are:

  • You have 1-2 years experience in B2B and/or B2C sales and business development (including work experiences and/or extra curricular activities).

  • Experience selling/managing pipelines and familiar with tools like Hubspot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and other prospecting applications.
